the lbd

Everyone knows the Little Black Dress rule…the LBD is a classic and timeless piece that should be a staple in every girls closet. It’s funny though, of all of the ever-growing contents of my closet, little black dresses have not been abundant. I completely get why I should always have a go-to LBD, as you can pair it with such a variety of colors, wear it through all seasons, and dress them up or down, but to me, they are usually missing that little extra ‘ooolala’ I need in a dress. I love bright colors, frills, tulle, sparkle…special details that LBD’s often seem to be missing. I’ve recently spotted several though that have that extra ‘something’ that makes me think that if these ones were in my closet, they would be in constant rotation.
That sequin one shoulder dress- LOVE!!!
LOVE these lbd’s. especially the tiered one from asos. such a fun take on a classic.

The last 2 are my faves- good prices too! :)
Nanette Lepore is one of my favorite designers! She always has that extra little “oomph” needed in a piece.
I am obsessedddddd with sequins! (see my blog) That first sequined LBD is genius. Too bad I didn’t have an extra $935 laying around to go get it, right? ;)

I love that modcloth one..so fabulous! I have a ridiculous number of black dresses- from designer/interview classy, to sequins, to date night worthy, to jersey cotton. It’s insane!
