I still have one more lovely day in the city that never sleeps. I’m taking the last flight out tonight to soak up every NY minute possible. While there are way too many fabulous things that I was able to be a part of in the last few days, I need to first share about the insanity-the madness-the beautiful mess-that was Fashion’s Night Out. While I had big plans and had pictured myself frolicking through the city and getting a glimpse of all my style icons-Rachel Zoe, Diane vonFurstenberg, Marc Jacobs, and other fashion gods, New York City was not going to allow this dream to come true.
Let me back up for one second though, because my first official Fashion’s Night Out started off with an unexpected fiasco. After spending the afternoon and grabbing lunch in Central Park with some other fun bloggers…
I ended up making my way back on (painful) foot and ended up in Times Square. Just as I was about to grab the train to take me further downtown, I realized I had left my credit card at our lunch spot-El Pain Quitodin in the Park. Luckily, they had it waiting for me, which I am beyond grateful. Between no cabs available (FNO=basically New Years Eve in NYC), my hop onto the wrong train which took me to Queens (no joke), and my achy and angry feet…Fashion’s Night Out did not start off as amazing as I’d planned.
Luckily, the night more than redeemed itself when I was able to meet Nicole Miller at her FNO party!
Then had a Gwen Stefani sighting(!!!!)
The feet didn’t hold up so well, and I had to switch into some different shoes (other heels, natch), but the foot pain will pass. Already counting down the days until next year’s Fashion’s Night Out…!
