Ahhh at last…the warm days are finally starting to outnumber the cold days! This means summer is quickly approaching, and it’s time to clean out the winter wear from the closets and prep it for the high temps! A few things I need to add to acquire before summer officially hits…
1) New sunnies
My daily go-to sunglasses are a pair of gold aviators, preferably Ray Bans. I wear mine so often and they go through so much wear and tear it’s time for a replacement.
I was kind of anti these next ones for awhile, but after seeing them all over they have grown on me…may need a pair for the random beach day that hopefully comes my way more than once this summer! Kind of rounded, slightly cat eyed…(And at less than $6 from F21…you won’t stress if they get scratched by sand or crushed in a beach bag!)
Aren’t rompers just the most fun new piece of clothing? Ok so they’re not exactly new-they’re more like ‘back’ from the seventies and eighties, but whatever you classify them as-they are CUTE! Dressy but casual, totally comfy, and could it be any easier to get dresed in 2 secs! I have been eyeing this beautiful Marc by Marc silk romper for months on Bluefly. Where I would wear this candy colored romper? I have no idea…but as you know, I don’t always buy things for functionality. I buy because I love! (You always should!!)
Also have a regular go to for this one-my giant navy blue compact of Estee Lauder bronzer, but after using the same one for years I feel ready to venture out and try something new. Any suggestions?
4) Versatile sandals
I have brand new dressy heels waiting to be worn, and a rainbow of Havianas to choose from (my FAVE flip flop-they seriously are the best!) But what I need is some fun but casual daily sandals that go with everything-from work outfits to running around on the weekend. These will be a toughy to find-and to fit the bill for what I want. Ok let’s be honest-This may be a 2 pair purchase to satisfy the needs.
Loving these Nine West gray ones-they look so comfy and would go with everrrything!
Also loving these simple J Crew Cairo Studded Capri Sandals
5) I have a ridiculous amount of skirts and dresses-most that work great to wear to work, but for the first time in awhile I’m feeling the need (and want!) to incorporate some…pants! into my work life. Not sure where this little wild hair came from but I’m pretty excited about it. It’s so odd because I often can go up to a couple weeks of going to work wearing a mix of skirts, dresses, and leggings! I’m thinking some cropped slim cut pants that would look great with either flats or platforms. Banana Republic and Ann Taylor Loft have some cute ones I need to try on.
